preparing for the bar examinations is not that easy... of course nothing is in anyway easy to get especially when talking about dreams in life. most of us started reviewing since april and the only thing we do is to read and eat and yes going to the movies and surfing the net in intervals ( feel guilty when lying) however these intervals does not compensate nor narrow the stress one might get from all day reading till your ass goes flat!, it goes to say that becoming a lawyer is not simple at all or less expensive for that matter.. so those of you wanting to be a lawyer, think about it! hehehehehehehe kidding. nonetheless despite this unending days of soberness and constant overload - it would be soon worth it!

Right on!
Got it from Atty. Chyt Daytec-Yangot
***
I posted the following in Candy Pangilinan's blog. During a public appearance in Baguio City, Philippines, Candy, a comedian said twice: "Tao po ako, hindi po ako Igorot (I am human, not an Igorot.)." For the enlightenment of friends from other countries, Igorot is the term to refer to indigenous peoples in the Cordillera. Please pardon if I mildly self-aggrandized in my letter to Candy, but I thought it was necessary to rescue her from her hopeless ignorance by showing that Igorots are educated, too.
Candy, I am a poet and human rights lawyer who happens to be indigenous. In particular, I am a member of the Kankanaey ethnolinguistic group. Kankanaeys are Igorots.
I am currently in Australia attending a training on indigenous peoples rights. Yesterday, I learned that when you had a cobncert in Baguio, you shouted twice: "Tao po ako, hindi po ako Igorot." This incident was discussed with the participants in the training because I brought it out. Australian aborigines recall the time they were not considered humans and were downgraded by the Australian government to the level of "part of the flora and fauna." How you treated us right in our territory smacks of shamelessness and outright ignorance of who Igorots are. You are as bad as the Australian government which, by the way, had the humility to apologize to the aborigines in 2009.
You can claim that you were joking. Twice, you were joking? Real artists use performance art to inspire noble emotions, not hatred for or discrimination against a particular ethnic group. Since you call yourself an artist, you should know that you have a social responsibility which demands that you should not promote ethnic bias.
It is a good thing that you are not so popular because your very prejudicial statement would have influenced the minds of millions of people. The fact of your stature in the entertainment industry does not however reduce the vileness of your statement.
I hope that like the Australian government, you will have the humility to apologize on national television to the indigenous peoples whose collective identity you slurred with your careless statement.

Candy joke? give me a break!
for a long time i did not post anything on this blog.. well as if someone cares but this is my outlet so deal with it! I've been busy with review and everything then upon checking for updates i came across this ignorant, uneducated, insensible, irresponsible and nasty remark made by a comedienne named Candy Pangilinan. People from the Cordilleras or the so- called "Igorots" do not run after celebrities or stand in a long line just to get a glimpse of this "artistas" save of course if its Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Well Candy Pangilinan claims that she already apologize and that she did not mean the remarks made... how can one say that they did not mean what they said if it was made twice, consciously? her reason for uttering those remarks is lack of sleep... sorry but theres no logic in that, give us a break! ( sus, anong klaseng rason! naluku garuden mangluku paylang!) We know more than you think Candy, we are people with brains more worthy of appreciation than you can ever imagine, well more worthy than yours that's for sure. It was just right to ban such kind of person in the city. well in a rush here chao.

CLANDESTINE AFFAIR
(For Fred as He Dreams on the Foot of the Alps)
He is mine in opaque spaces
unexplored by the public eye
Holding his hand, I see the
Alps twirl in rapturous delight
The perishing dark flirts with the
early morn as it kisses the dew
The wars are stilled by peace;
nightmares are soothed by dreams
The summer rain capitulates to
the sunshine; they resuscitate a
stiff edelweiss struggling from
the cold under the white snow
Life is beyond Death’s reach
I am a hideous flower transformed
to beauty after its maiden kiss from
the handsomest bee in Eden
I know how Bathsheba felt under
David’s admiring, eager stare
From my lover's lips freely stream
the words I implored from every
lover in my honeyed fantasies
Juliet, my heart capers as yours
did when Romeo professed his
love; it was too beautiful to end
Death had to give it eternal life
in the lovely legend it became
It is no myth from Shakespeare’s
gossip mill; it is my reality when I,
within the confines of invisible
places, explore his naked body and
enter the farthest corner of his soul
Alas, in the parks, in the church,
in the presence of the crowd
I am a stranger to my lover
and he to me, it hurts so deep
I feel like the scorned kept woman
in the shoddy love triangle movies
But I am not his kept woman
Ecstatic in the absence of light
Heartbroken without the dark

is she being bitchy or what?
i am totally and outrageously furious of this girl yes a "girl" because she's small and seems like a grade i don't know student. we hate people who are so pretentious and love people that we think that they are themselves, frank and respectful.. well even if not to themselves but to others. this was actually an incident that happened last week before i went home to the province but i was reminded of her because the very sight of her is a total sore eye. that was not the first time that i caught her doing that thing to me. this is what happened.. last Thursday when i entered class for the second period this girl looked at me and was looking until i reached my sit then suddenly when i face her she whispered something to her sit mate (i like her sit mate..at least i can say shes a human being), i know that she was whispering something about me. so basically that's it. one might say that i am sensitive but as i said this is not the first incident or first time she did this to me. there are several occasions when you see her staring or glancing at you while doing her silent whisper or something!!! as of now i officially don't want to see her face and to be near me.. because i go berserk when i see her, blood rushes in my head... and also some people hate her guts because of her bitchy attitude..

church!
what a nightmare!
last Thursday i planned to go home to the province and i did. i was so eager to get on the bus and to tolerate the excruciating 7 long hour drive. so i boarded the bus and sit their like i would be waiting for eternity to get home. at the first bus stop i indulge in eating "balut" 3 baluts mind you. it was like eating my favorite cake just without the frosting.. if you know what i mean. then trip continues. after 30 minutes from taking off from the bus stop all hell breaks loose! the bus just stop in the middle of nowhere i thought it was just a minor problem bbbbbbbuuuuuuuuutttttt no it was MAJOR. i ask the driver if we get out of the shit hole where at and he just wont answer my question. so sat at the side of the road because i cant tolerate people inside the bus! name it and you have the most intolerable kind of people in that hell bus .. yes i'm calling it that! we have group of guys who talks shit about i dont know what, people who stinks, and my god smoking inside the bus it was really a shit hole! after eternity of waiting another bus came do you imagine still coming from Baguio. so it was like a 3 hours wait. ohhhhh it was really driving me nuts. then of course 30 minutes of boarding the luggage and mostly "thing" well sacks, boxes, and the rest i didn't care to look at! finally we were in the road i slept like a baby all through out the trip i know that the passenger beside me was wining i didn't care! said to myself deal with it! finally.... home there it was... i knock on the door took off my shoes and went straight to bed...... at last the peace of mind i was looking for!

formals!
every Tuesdays of the week we have this practicum class. this is where we do moot court. our professor required us to wear formal clothes or say for court hearings. some of us... yes that includes me.. abide by the dress code set by the professor. some are so so and some totally and obviously don't know what the word formal is. it's a little bit frustrating that some make an effort in putting together a formal outfit while some just wont even try to. the worst part of it is that its not being check. so why bother to strut up a good polo and a tie when nobody is checking it! however being in senior year one must know better than enter practicum class in a sloppy "get-up" yes f.y.i its a "get -up" and not an out fit. i don't care that much but it has become a little bit distracting and disturbing. rubber shoes, slippers, jeans and denim jackets???? the word is "formal" try looking it up in the dictionary may be you'll have an idea what it means! god! and oh i forget you can stare at me every time i enter the room in that way you can get tips! harsh? i think not, just feeds you know! kapish!

gossip corner!
this is a little bit of a shock to me. this involves a graduate 3 years ahead of me. we have here a real interesting one. i cant even guest who this person is. accordingly during his days in college he yes of course this person is a he, he had a gay benefactor. he was being supported until he gratuated from college and it was said upto the time he took the exams. the results were out and he passed. at that time he wanted to get out of that predicament (or is it?) so he broke it of. this is the interesting part ... after the break up he asked this benefactor if he could stay for a while in his apartment... what a jerk! well this one i dont know how to verify may be i would never verify it...so there you go another good one! kapish!
